St Luke's War hospital 1918.

Being treated in this beautiful Victorian hospital  are someone's brave ancestors who fought in the First World War to keep our country a free country, also in the picture are the skilled and caring staff who looked after them.

Underneath is a copy of the back of the card with some writing on it. Maybe James Cummings is in the picture above.

There are rumours that this beautiful Victorian hospital is soon going to be destroyed for ever. I am going to take some pictures of it before the powers that be destroy it. Not so long ago there was a fantastic archway leading into this hospital, but for some strange reason it was ripped down, but one kind soul has left the very peak of it in the hospital grounds for all to see, but the rest of it has gone forever. It is my duty as an Englishman to make a record of this beautiful old Victorian hospital and that is what I will do.
